China launches an X-Ray pulsar navigation satellite on 10th November 2016 to conduct orbit experiments using pulsar directors to demonstrate new technologies.
This X-Ray pulsar navigation satellite was carries by March-11 rocket which was 239th flight mission by a long March carrier rocket series.
The satellite has gone through various tests on its detector functions and space environment adaptability.
X-Ray pulsar weighs at 200 kilograms is designed by academics affiliated with the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation.
X-ray pulsar aims to reduce the spacecraft’s reliance on ground-based navigation methods and is expected to lead an autonomous spacecraft navigation in future.
