World Suicide Prevention Day (WSPD) is observed every year on 10 September, across the world with an aim to spread awareness that suicide can be prevented.
The theme of World Suicide Prevention Day (WSPD-2018) is ‘Working Together to Prevent Suicide’.
World Suicide Prevention Day (WSPD) focuses to provide worldwide commitment and action to prevent suicides, by organising various activities around the world.
World Suicide Prevention Day (WSPD) is organized by the International Association for Suicide Prevention (IASP) collaborates with the World Health Organization (WHO) and the World Federation for Mental Health (WFMH), to host World Suicide Prevention Day.
From past few years, over 300 activities in around 70 countries were reported to IASP, including educational and commemorative events, press briefings and conferences, as well as Facebook and Twitter coverage.
