Indian President Ram Nath Kovind reached Prague on 7 Sep 2018, the capital the Czech Republic on the final leg of his three-nation visit to Europe.
In Prague, Ram Nath Kovind held a meeting with an Indian business delegation. He also received a reception by the Indian Community tonight.
India and the Czech Republic agreed to jointly cooperate in the fight against terrorism in all its forms and manifestations.
Besides, India and the Czech Republic today finalized 5 MoUs including in the fields of laser technology, exemptions from visa requirements for Diplomatic passport holders and Work Plan for support of Indo-Czech projects in diverse areas of science and technology.
India and the Czech Republic also decided to initiate co-operation for peaceful use of nuclear energy.
President Ram Nath Kovind thanked his Czech counterpart Milos Zeman for his support for an early adoption of the Comprehensive Convention on International Terrorism at the United Nations.
President Kovind has also invited the Czech companies to take advantage of the opening of defence manufacturing sector in India and set-up joint ventures to produce for the domestic market.
