The Conference on E-Mobility in Indian Railways held on 4th September 2018 in New Delhi. It aims to discuss the strategies regarding the future of mobility in India.
The Conference on E-Mobility in Indian Railways was a one-day event organised by Ministry of Railways through Institution of Railways Electrical Engineers (IREE) in association with NITI Aayog
The Conference on E-Mobility event saw the participation of around 300 numbers of delegates from the Ministry of Railways, Central Ministries, various Public Sector Undertakings, and industry partners have attended the conference.
Union Minister of State for Railways, Manoj Sinha spoke on clean energy utilization in Indian Railways. He informed that the possibilities of air and solar power are limitless.
Chairman of Railway Board, Ashwani Lohani proclaimed that Indian Railways is moving towards fast speed corridors, creating better terminals, new tracks, and complete electrification.
NITI Aayog CEO Amitabh Kant noted the remarkable progress made by Indian Railways in the areas of Railway electrification, high electric loco production and conversion of Diesel loco to the Electric loco.
