The 6th Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) Trade Ministers’ Meeting started in Singapore on 30th August 2018. It was a two-day mega event which was scheduled to be held from 30th August to 31st August 2018.
In the 6th RCEP Trade Ministers’ Meeting mega trade pact aims to cover goods, services, investments, economic and technical cooperation, competition and intellectual property rights.
In the 6th RCEP Trade Ministers’ Meeting saw the participation of Ministers comprising of 10 ASEAN members (Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, Thailand, the Philippines, Laos, and Vietnam) and their six FTA partners - India, China, Japan, South Korea, Australia and New Zealand.

On 1st September 2018, Suresh Prabhu will take part in the 6th East-Asia Economic Ministers’ Meeting (EAS-EMM), which will be attended by Trade and Economic Ministers of 10 ASEAN countries and 8 Dialogue Partners of ASEAN including India, China, US, Russia, Japan, South Korea, Australia and New Zealand.
