India on 11th Day of Asian Games-2018 held in Jakarta, Indonesia added 2 Gold Medals, 1 Silver Medal and 1 Bronze medals to their medal tally courtesy
India's Arpinder Singh ended India's 48-year drought for a gold medal in the men's triple jump event while Swapna Barman emerged victorious in women's heptathlon event.
India's Dutee Chand grabbed her second silver medal at the Asiad after finishing second in the women's 200 meters race.
Dutee Chand, who also won the silver medal in the 100m, clocked 23.20 seconds to finish behind Bahrain's Edidiong Odiong, who claimed the gold medal in 22.96 seconds.
In the final, the 22-year-old Dutee was 0.20 seconds slower than her Tuesday's performance. Running in the third lane, Dutee started strong and in the first 3040 meters, she was in the third position.
The two medals for Dutee at this Games meant that her career had taken a completely different turn after she was barred in 2014 for high androgen levels. The Indian women's hockey team also assured themselves of a medal after reaching the final where they will play Japan.
Indian pair of Achanta Sharath Kamal and Manika Batra won bronze in the mixed doubles event of the table tennis.
With the results, India's medal tally now stands with a total of 54 medals, which includes 11 gold, 20 silver and 23 bronze.
