Prime Minister Narendra Modi bans Rs.500 and Rs.1000 notes from 9th November 2016 to fight against corruption.
Finance Secretary announced that new notes to be issued on 10th November 2016.
Secretary also stated that people can change Rs.500 and Rs.1,000 notes from the banks so there is no need to panic or indulge in any kind of fraud.
The banks also enriched with CCTV camera so there is no need of fraud.
Reserve bank of India has announced consumer helpline number for any kind of enquiry and other details for Mumbai and Delhi.
For Mumbai, 022-22602201, 022-22602914 is the helpline number which can be contacted any time.
For Delhi, 011-23093230 is the helpline number which can be contacted any time.
