Home Minister Rajnath Singh and his Bangladeshi counterpart Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal have co-chaired the meeting.
Both the ministers discussed issues related to security, border management, cooperation in countering illegal activities and travel arrangements at the meeting that began at 1030 hrs and continued for a one-and-a-half hour.
Bangladesh and India have made a 'notable progress' in transforming land and maritime boundaries into zones of peace and tranquility.
Home Minister also inaugurated India's largest visa centre in the world to reduce the waiting time for applicants. The integrated state-of-the-art Indian Visa Application Centre will replace all the existing centers in Dhaka in two phases.
