The Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister, Narendra Modi was apprised of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between India and Indonesia on Technical Cooperation in the field of railways sector.
The MoU between India and Indonesia was signed during the state visit of Indian PM Narendra Modi to Indonesia on 29th May 2018.
The India-Indonesia MoU will provide a framework of cooperation for a focused approach in exchange of knowledge, technology, and institutional cooperation including capacity building.
The India-Indonesia MoU will also enable exchanges of construction and maintenance technologies for fixed infrastructure, including tracks, bridges, tunnel, overhead electrification and power supply systems.
