Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi arrived in Qingdao, China on 9th June 2018, where he held bilateral talks with Chinese President, Xi Jinping and made important agreements.
India and China also signed two Memorandum of Understandings (MoU) related to sharing of hydrological information on Brahmaputra river and second, export on non-Basmati rice to China following the talks between PM Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping on the sidelines of the SCO.
PM Modi and President Xi also discussed the implementation of decisions taken at the informal summit between them in Wuhan in May 2018.
India and China also agreed that they will jointly move forward in identifying a specific project in the area of capacity building in Afghanistan
PM Narendra Modi also invited China's President Xi Jinping for an informal summit, to which he got convinced to attend an informal summit in India in 2019.
PM Narendra Modi also met Emomali Rahmon, President of Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan President Shavkat Mirziyoyev on the sidelines of the SCO summit.
