In a significant move to deal with crime-prone locality through friendly policing approach, the Hyderabad police on 31st June 2018 has announced a project of adoption of 'Mangar Basti' slum by the Tukaramgate police station Hyderabad, Telangana.
The adopted Mangar Basti is infamous for housing several thieves and robbers. This initiative will help them to recover their criminal mindsets & overcome their vulnerability.
The Hyderabad police have adopted around 30 families and police personnel will closely mentor their development.
As part of the adoption initiative, a total of 212 families of the area were being adopted by Hyderabad police with the objectives of crime management, education and employment bridging, child and women safety and well-being.
The Hyderabad police plan to give them assistance in getting the education, health and physiological assessment.
The adopted families will be provided by adoption card valid for a period of one year and if required till further keeping in view these objectives, Improvement would be targeted, planned, implemented and assessed during this period in the areas of 'crime and unemployment', 'children and students education and well-being' and 'health' sectors.
