Facebook Collaborates With National Commission for Women (NCW), Launched Digital Literacy Programme- Details, Features, Purpose, About

Social networking giant Facebook has collaborated with National Commission for Women (NCW) and launched Digital Literacy Programme to train women on the safe use of internet and social media.

The Digital Literacy Programme was launched by Facebook in collaboration with Ranchi, Jharkhand-based Cyber Peace Foundation (CPF), a civil society organisation involved in training related to all aspects of cyber security.

About Digital Literacy Programme

Under Digital Literacy Programme, awareness training will be conducted for 60,000 women in universities across major cities in India for over a one-year period.

The interactive training sessions will provide training on the safe and responsible use of internet, social media and email. It will enable trainees to differentiate between credible and questionable information.

The training will be conducted in local languages. The digital literacy programme will benefit women in universities across major cities in Haryana, Manipur, Delhi-NCR, Sikkim, Meghalaya, Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu.
