NASA to launch GOES-R mission spacecraft on 16th November 2016
This spacecraft GOES-R has been prepared by NASA, ULA, NOAA and Air Force’s 45th spacing wing of US.
This spacecraft will do the weather forecast by five times faster providing more accurate data for hurricane tracking and intensity forecasts.
It will also provide real-time mapping of improved weather conditions, advanced warning of space weather hazards and improved transportation safely.
GOES-R measures of about 18 feet wide and weighs about 6,000 lb and will be stored in a special satellite shipping container aboard C-5 airplane.
The team has also made safety measures for the spacecraft at Astrotech Space Operations in Titusville, Fla.
Earlier it was scheduled to launch on 4th November but due to some reasons it postponed the launch.
