Aadhaar Pay fingerprint payment system for poor and illiterate

 

 

Government pushes online transations through 'Aadhaar Pay' payment system

The government has started work on ‘Aadhaar based’ transactions for poor and illiterate people of the country.

Under this, the person just need to give the fingerprint and the transaction is done.

This is the new version of Aadhaar based AEPS system which is the merchant based system.

The ‘Aadhaar pay’ will replace the ongoing passwords and PIN online transactions.

For new Aadhaar Pay feature, the customer need to provide the Aadhaar card number, Bank name and fingerprint

The advantage of this system is that the consumer does not even require a smartphone nor card or PIN.

For the merchants, they need to purchase Aadhaar based biometric device.

The Aadhaar pay system will create a confidence among the merchants for online transactions.

The merchants will also be encouraged to use Aadhaar based payment system for online transactions.
