Former Chief Minister of Punjab Surjit Singh Barnala passes away after a prolonged illness at PGIMER on Sunday at the age of 91.
Surjit Singh was admitted to Cardiac Care Unit in PGI and then shifter to respiratory ICU where he breathed for the last time.
Surjit Singh Barnala was the Governor of Tamil Nadu, Orissa, Andhra Pradesh and Uttrakhand.
Former Chief Minister was also the LT. Governor of Andaman and Nicobar Island and Puducherry.
Surjit Singh Barnal also hold the member of assembly and Lok Sabha.
Surjit Singh Barnala served as the Chemicals and Fertilizers Minister in Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s governance.
