Pinaka Rocket Mark-II successful test-firing launched from Chandipur
Pinaka Rocket Mark-II has been successfully test-fired from Launch Complex-III, ITR in Chandipur.
Pinaka Rocket Mark-II is the conversion of Pinaka Rocket Mark-I which is an improved version and accurate of Pinaka.
Pinaka Rocket Mark-II has been furnished with navigation, guidance and control kit
The new version has been transformed into a guided Pinaka, developed by ARDE Pune, RCI and DRDL of Hyderabad.
The launch support and the range has been provided by ITR of Chandipur from where its test fire has been conducted.
The test fire was successful in meeting all the mission objectives.
The radars, electro-tropical and telemetry systems at Chandipur tracked and supervised the vehicle all through the flight path.
The defence Minister Manohar Parrikar congratulated DRDO for its successful test firing.
