Dr. Kritika Purohit becomes first blind (Divyang) doctor of India

 

 

Kritika Purohit from Nalasopara becomes the first blind doctor of India

Kritika not only fulfilled her dream to become the doctor but also gives inspiration to all the disabled people to do something in their lives.

Kritika Purohit also approached to court for the profession but also solved all her problems coming in way.

Kritika lost her eyesight when she was in class three

24 year old Kritika Purohit always wanted to be a doctor since her childhood but when she was in class three her optical nerve in the eye had some problem and she lost her eyesight.

Kritika Purohit approached the court as for the visually impaired people only diploma and certification courses were offered not degree course.

As Kritika Purohit cannot see, she used to practise without gloves at dead bodies for practical to feel the organs of the body.

Kritika Purohit did physiotherapy course from KEM hospital and got the certificate from Maharashtra State Council of Occupational therapy and physiotherapy.
