Japan to make Chennai Ahmedabad Varanasi Smart City Make In India
Japan is to aid India in converting Chennai, Ahmedabad and Varanasi into smart cities
Japan’s Ambassador to India, Kenji Hiramatsu in his meeting with Urban Development Minister, Venkaiah Naidu conveys that Japan is quite involved in the urban development initiatives of the Government of India and wants to be a part of it.
Prime Minister Modi’s visit to Japan has proven to be so outstanding that Japan has got ready to help out in the advancement of India.
UK High Commissioner discusses about Memorandum of Understanding between India and Japan
High Commissioner of United Kingdom, Dominic Asquith has also met Venkaiah Naidu and he discusses about the Memorandum of Understanding signed by India and Japan.
Dominic Asquith mentions that government to government collaboration has huge potentiality in it.
Till date ,the developed countries have come up for the development of 15 cities namely United States Trade Development Agency(USTDA) for Visakhapatnam, Ajmer and Allahabad,UK for Pune,Amaravati(Andhra Pradesh) and Indore, France for Chandigarh, Puducherry and Nagpur and Germany for Bhubaneshwar,Coimbatore and Kochi.
