Board of Control for Cricket in India has appointed Virat Kohli as the captain of upcoming T20 and ODI matches on 6th January 2017.
Virat Kohli is appointed after the resignation of Mahendra Singh Dhoni from the ODI and T20 matches.
Virat Kohli also leaded the Indian cricket team in the test matches.
Virat Kohli is world’s number one batsman in T20 cricket and will likely lead team India in the upcoming World Cup which is scheduled in England in 2019.
Virat Kohli has scored 7570 runs in 176 ODIs which includes 26 hundreds and 38 half centuries at an average of 52.94 runs.
