Haiti is the poorest country in America which was led by the temporary president since February last year.
Haiti is still recovering from Hurricane Mathew which killed up 1000 people in October.
Jovenel Moise’s closest rival was Jude Celestin by getting 19.5% votes in the presidency elections.
The President-elect Jovenel Moise has been backed up by the President Michel Martelly whose tenure has been expired.
The president-elect Jovenel Moise will take up the office on 7th February 2017.
The temporary president Jovelerme Privert took over the office on February 2016 after President Michel Martelly left the position.
