ISRO all set to World Record 103 satellite mission in Feb 2017

 

 

Indian Space Research Organisation ISRO all set to launch 103 satellite to make world record

The Indian Space Research Organisation is planning for world record to launch 103 satellites in one go in February 2017.

ISRO will be using its workhorse PSLV-C37 in the first week of February for the launch.

Earlier, ISRO has launched 83 satellites in one go but the launch of 20 more satellites were delayed but now ISRO is all set to launch the satellites.

20 more satellites set to launch from foreign countries

The 20 satellites which are set to launch is of foreign countries while out of 83 satellites launched earlier 80 were of the foreign countries belonging to other countries.

In all 3 satellites are from India while 100 satellites belong to USA, Netherland, Switzerland, Israel, and Kazakhstan etc.

The current record was set by Russia in the year 2014 by launching 37 satellites in one go.

The weight of payload will be 1350 kgs out of which 500-600 kgs will be weight of the satellites.

The launch will also create history as ISRO never attempted the launch of this scale.
