The Government of India has announced to provide Rs.5 discount on the online payment of LPG cylinder on every refill.
The LPG customers can pay through any digital mode like debit card, credit card or net banking.
The discounted amount will be published on the cash memo as well as when making online payment.
The customer needs to pay the amount after deducting Rs.5 from the amount of LPG gas cylinder.
The government aims to promote cashless transactions as most of the people in economy pays cylinder bookings in cash.
The state oil companies are already offering 0.75% discount on petrol payments through online media to promote cashless transactions.
Presently, subsidized LPG cylinders weighing 14.2 kg are sold at Rs.434.71 while un-subsidized cylinders are sold at Rs.585.
