The Government of India has given two month time for the mobile manufacturing companies to add panic feature button in the new handsets.
Government has announced in April 2016 to add panic button in the new handsets but mobile manufacturing companies claimed that they need two months more time to add panic feature.
The government has made it mandatory for the mobile manufacturing companies to add panic feature from the mobiles launched from January 2017 but now two months more time has been extended.
As per the orders, by pressing the emergency button the call will be directly placed to emergency number 112.
Panic button will help the women and in emergency situation they can directly connect to the police.
