Dr Mahesh Sharma, Minister of State for Cultural & Tourism launched the implementation of the ‘National Mission on Cultural Mapping of India’ at Goverdhan Block, Mathura District of Uttar Pradesh.
This National Initative on cultural mapping was launched for (Sanskritik Pratibha Khoj Samaroh). For block level mega talent hunt programme.
This initative of the Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat umbrella. The launch of the mission of cultural mapping belongs to the birth centenary of Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay. Which is hailed in Mathura.
This cultural mapping mission aim is converting the vast and widespread cultural canvas of india into an objective cultural map. The whole artist community of the nation and preserving the rich cultural heritage of this country.
This initative encompasses data mapping, demography building formalizing the prosses and bringing all the cultural activites under one web-based umbrella for better results.
Launching the National Mission on Cultural Mapping of India. The cultural minister Dr. Sharma informed to his ministry that they will be organising similar Block level events in other states. And the current round includes Shimoga Block in Shimoga District, Karnataka,Thanesar Block in Kurukshetra District, Harayana, Chauri-Chaura Block in Gorakhpur District in Uttar Pradesh & Saraikela Block in Saraikela- Kharsawan District in Jharkahnd.
According to Dr. Mahesh Sharma, cultural talent or heritage remain unattended if it is talent it should be supported. And this scheme is set to cover all the Blocks of the country, involving a total of 6.40 lakhs village over the span of next 3 years.
