World no. 1, Kidambi Srikanth has bagged the ‘Silver Medal’ for India, on the last day of the 21st Commonwealth Games in the men's singles badminton competition held at the Carrara Sports & Leisure Centre on 15th April 2018.
Indian star player, Kidambi Srikanth (25 years old) who hails from Andra Pradesh achieved the feat to remain at the second position after losing against defending Commonwealth champion, Lee Chong Wei of Malaysia in the men's singles badminton competition in CWG-2018.
Kidambi Srikanth although winning the first game of the final, lost in the next two games after a tough fight to settle for a ‘Silver Medal’ with a losing scoreline of 21-19, 14-21, 21-14.
Malaysia’s Lee Chong Wei has won ‘Gold Medal’ at CWG for the third time.
Earlier, Kidambi Srikanth in the semi-final had defeated 2010 Commonwealth Games silver medalist Rajiv Ouseph of England by a scoreline of 21-10 21-17 in 28 minutes.
