Manika Batra and Mouma Das has bagged the ‘Silver Medal’ for India, in the women's doubles category of Table Tennis competition on the 9th day of the 21st Commonwealth Games competition held at the Oxenford Studio Centre on 13th April 2018.
The Indian women’s double pair achieved the feat by finishing second best against Singapore's Tainwei Feng and Mengyu Yu.
Singapore’s double TT pair managed to top the podium against India’s double TT pair by leading scores of 3-0 (11-5, 11-4, 11-5).
Earlier, Manika Batra and Mouma Das pair had defeated Malaysia's Ying Ho and Karen Lyne by a scoreline of 3-0 in the CWG-2018 semifinal match.
Earlier, India's Sutirtha Mukherjee and Pooja Sahasrabudhelost 1-3 to Malaysia’s Ying Ho and Karen Lyne in women's double ‘Bronze Medal’ competition.
This is India's third TT medal at the Games, following two ‘Gold Medals’ in the men's and women's team CWG-2018 event.
