CWG 2018: Rahul Aware Bags 13th Gold Medal For India in Wrestling Event
Commonwealth Games-2018 also known as Gold Coast 2018 was inaugurated on 4th April 2018 at Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia, It has to be held from 4th April to 15 April 2018
Rahul Aware has bagged the 13th Gold Medal for India, on the eighth day of the 21st Commonwealth Games in the men's freestyle 57kg category of wrestling competition on 12th April 2018.
Rahul Aware (26 years old) feat has amazed the competition far behind by winning his first ‘Gold Medal’ for India in the wrestling competition in CWG-2018.
Rahul Aware registered his best feat with the total points of 15-7, against Canada’s Steven Takahashi with a 3-1 final scoreline in CWG-2018.
Earlier, Rahul Aware had won ‘Bronze Medal’ in the men's freestyle 55-kilogram category at the Asian Wrestling Championship-2011 held in Uzbekistan defeating Kazakhstan’s Rasul Kailev by 3-1 scoreline.
In 2011Commonwealth Wrestling Championships, Rahul Aware had also won ‘Gold Medal’ in men's freestyle 55 kg category, defeating Gilbert Musonza of Canada and Scotland’s Craig McKenna.
