Om Prakash Mitharvalhas won the ‘Silver Medal’ for India, on the 7th day of the 21st Commonwealth Games in the men's 50-metre air pistol shooting competition at the Belmont Shooting Centre held on 11th April 2018.
OP Mitharwal has achieved the feat by registering a total score of 201.1 points in the final.
Australia's Daniel Repacholi has clinched the ‘Gold Medal’ with a new CWG record score of 227.2 points.
Bangladesh’ Shakil Ahmed of took silver with a total score of 220.5 points.
Another Indian shooter, Jitu Rai(30 years old) finished at the disappointing 8th position.
Earlier, Jitu Rai has achieved ‘Gold Medal’ with a total of 214.3 points in the men's 10-meter air pistol shooting competition in CWG-2018.
Earlier, Om Prakash Mitharval (22 years old) who hails from Rajasthan has also bagged ‘Bronze Medal’ with a total of 214.3 points in the men's 10-metre air pistol shooting competition on the 5th day of the 21st CWG-2018 on 8th April 2018.
