Mehuli Ghosh (17 years old) who hails from Hooghly, West Bengal has bagged the ‘Silver Medal’ for India, on the 5th day of the 21st Commonwealth Games in the women's 10 metre Air Rifle shooting competition on 9th April 2018.
Apurvi Chandela (28 years old) who hails from Jaipur, Rajasthan has managed to win ‘Bronze Medal’ for India, on the 5th day of the 21st CWG-2018 in the women's 10 metre air pistol shooting competition on 9th April 2018.
Singapore's Martina Lindsay Veloso has won the ‘Gold Medal’ after a tough fight with Mehuli Ghosh.
Mehuli and Veloso were involved in a shoot-off after both were tied at a Commonwealth Games record score of 247.2 in the final.
Apurvi Chandela was settled for the third position after two poor scores of 9.9 and 9.4. She was the Gold Medal winner in the CWG-2014 competition held in Glasgow.
The Indian shooter Mehuli Ghosh in her final shot scored 9.9 and Singaporean shooter Martina Veloso scored 10.3 to top the podium.
