Commonwealth Games-2018 also known as Gold Coast 2018 was inaugurated on 4th April 2018 at Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia, It has to be held from 4th April to 15 April 2018
Jitu Rai has won the ‘Gold Medal’ for India, on the 5th day of the 21st Commonwealth Games in the men's 10-metre air pistol shooting competition at the Belmont Shooting Centre held on 8th April 2018.
Om Prakash Mitharval (22 years old) who hails from Rajasthan has bagged ‘Bronze Medal’ for India, on the 5th day of the 21st CWG-2018 in the men's 10-metre air pistol shooting competition on 8th April 2018.
Indian shooter Jitu Rai(30 years old) who is from Nepali origin achieved the feat with a total of 235.1 points while compatriot Om Prakash Mitharvalmade it to the third position with a total of 214.3 points.
Australia’s Kerry Bell secured the second position to get the ‘Silver Medal’ with a total of 233.5 points.
