Commonwealth Games-2018 also known as Gold Coast 2018 was inaugurated on 4th April 2018 at Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia, It has to be held from 4th April to 15 April 2018
The Indian women’s table tennis team has bagged the ‘Gold Medal’ for India, on the 4th day of the 21st Commonwealth Games competition held at the Oxenford Studio Centre on 8th April 2018.
The Indian women’s table tennis team achieved the historic feat by clinching the first ever gold medal at the Commonwealth Games with a 3-1 victory against Singapore in the final.
The England women’s table tennis team clinched the second position by beating Australian team by 3-0.
Earlier, Indian women’s table tennis team has defeated England’s team by 3-0 in the semifinals, the Indians had got to their best ever performance, reaching the final for the first time since New Delhi, 2010.
