1. Indian weightlifter Sanjita Chanu won gold medal after lifting a total of 192 kg in the women's 53 kg category in Commonwealth games.

2. India's youngest weightlifter at the 2018 Commonwealth Games, 18-year-old Deepak Lather won India a bronze medal in the 69-kg men's category.

3. The Union Minister for Railways and Coal Shri Piyush Goyal today launched UTTAM App for Coal Quality Monitoring. UTTAM stands for – Unlocking Transparency by Third Party Assessment of Mined Coal.

4. Reserve Bank of India has decided to set up Data Sciences Lab to improve its forecasting, surveillance and early warning detection abilities which will aid policy formulation.

5. The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has instituted a committee to regulate online portals, including news websites, entertainment sites and media aggregators.

6. The Ministry of Tribal Affairs has approved the establishment of the first multipurpose “Van Dhan Vikas Kendra” on pilot basis for the establishment in Bijapur District of Chhattisgarh State for providing skill upgradation and capacity building training and setting up of primary processing and value addition facility.

7. Gymnastics coach Brij Kishore of Sports Authority of Telangana State, whose trainee B. Aruna Reddy had won bronze in World Cup gymnastics recently, passed away. He was 50.

8. Subrata Bhattacharjee has been appointed as the next Ambassador of India to the Republic of Serbia.

9. Himanta Biswa Sarma has been elected as president of Badminton Association of India (BAI).

10. India is hosting the 16thInternational Energy Forum (IEF) Ministerial Meeting in New Delhi.
