C.N.R. Rao's full name is Chintamani Nagesa Ramchandra Rao. C.N.R. Rao is An Indian Chemist, also known as CNR Rao who has worked mainly in Solid-State and structural chemistry.
C.N.R. Rao's Early Life and Schooling
C.N.R. Rao was born on 30 June 1934 in Bangalore. He is the only child of their Parents Hanumantha Nagesa Rao and Nagamma Nagesa Rao.
C.N.R. Rao’s parents made an academic environment for him. He Attended Acharya Patashala high school in Basavanagudi which made a lactic influence on his interest in chemistry.
C.N.R Rao's Achievements and Awards
Rao has honored doctorate from 60 universities from around the word and he has authored around 1,500 research paper and scientific books.
At Present, Rao serves as the head of the scientific advisory Council to the Prime Minister of India.
Rao was honored with the Bharat Ratna, the highest civilian award in India, making him the third scientist after C.V. Raman and A. P. J. Abdul Kalam to receive the award in 2014.
