The Prime Minister of Sri Lanka has called up for the engagement with India on Economic Issues.
He has proposed India for stronger trade and to foster economic connections with south Indian states.
He has invited Indian Companies to invest in Sri Lanka for the areas such as infrastructure etc.
The main motive for this is to have joint agreement with India for carving special Trade practises in India
He also announced earlier that Sri Lanka and India are working together for Free Trade Agreement to include the services and investments in the country.
He believed that after the enforcement of this agreement, India will have a strong market in not only Sri Lanka but also in Singapore, Japan, China and many other countries.
