China's Project blocking the Brahmaputa river in Tibet, the most expensive Lalhu project
China’s most expensive project Lalhu Project on Xiabuqu river is causing problem to India as China has blocked the tributary of a part of Brahmaputra river in Tibet.
India has a huge concern for this as it may block the water flow of the river and can impact water flow in the country.
Government to take meeting with expert level mechanism
China has invested 4 Billion Yuan i.e $750 million for this project which has started in June 2015 and is scheduled to be completed till 2019.
India has a mutual agreement with china to share information on cross border issues and the experts are meeting regularly to resolve the problems concerning to cross-border rivers.
The government will take up a meeting to resolve the issues to the expert level mechanism.
