On 17 October 2017, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has announced to organize International Gita Mahotsav in Kurukshetra (Haryana).
International Gita Mahotsav would be organized on 25 November 2017 in Kurukshetra (Haryana) and it will be brought to a close 3 rd December 2017.
The inauguration of the Mahotsav would be done by President Ram Nath Kovind. The event will be organized in collaboration with Mauritius.
Beside of this, Utter Pradesh will be also associated with it. The objective behind the Mahotsav is to spread the Message of Gita to the world.
Vaishvik Path of Bhagavad Gita will also be held at Brahma Sarovar and Jyotisar, the birthplace of Bhagavad Gita.
This is the first International Gita Mahotsav which will also see the launch of two coffee table books named Incredible Kurukshetra in English and Atulya Kurukshetra in Hindi.
International Gita Mahotsav observes exhibition by deferent culture, spiritual, educational and social organizations, painting and photography competitions, Gita Pustak etc.
