Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Om Prakash Rawat, while describing black money as a major threat to the electoral process, admitted that existing laws are inadequate to stop its use in elections. Talking about the problems present in the Indian election system, Rawat said that existing law is not enough to prevent the use of black money in elections.
At the same time, he told a company such as stealing data with conspiracy Cambridge Analysts and threatening people to spread the fake news for the electoral process.
On the occasion of International Democracy Day, the 'Challenges of Electoral Democracy in India' reached the program organized on the issue. Here he said, 'Misuse of funds in elections is a major concern for India and Indian elections.
