The Central Electricity Regulatory Commission headed by power system expect sent its recommendations regarding transmission planning.
The committee has recommended to promote the power Market by keeping 5% of the reserve of each flow gate to be utilised by collective daily transactions and for contingency market in case of non-utilisation of corridor by power exchanges.
Transmission planning must be done to meet the consumer wants and should be changed by the existing system which needs to be done on planned basis of load of states and planned generation scenario based on economic principles.
Renewable energy sources of transmission system must be planned based on the estimated capacity.
The observations and studies must be carried out load and generation scenario during peak and off-peak hours.
The Central repository of generators must be created by CEA.
States must forecast the demand relating to short term, medium term and long term forecasting.
