World Cancer Day 2018 theme We Can. I can A three-year campaign against deadly cancer Details, Objective, Purpose

The World Cancer Day is marked every year on 4th February across the world to spread and enhance the awareness about cancer and also to encourage its prevention, detection, and treatment.

World Cancer Day main objective is to limit the growth of cancer and related deaths by 2020 globally.

For 2016-2018, the theme (tagline) to mark World Cancer Day is ‘We Can. I can.’ Under this theme, people are believed to join the movement individually or collectively and can do their part in reducing the impact and harmful effects of cancer globally.

World Cancer Day was founded by the regulation of the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC) under formally written goals of the World Cancer Declaration in 2008.

World Cancer Day origin can be traced to 2000 at first World Summit Against Cancer, which was held in Paris, France.

World Cancer Day is a chance to make a healthy resolution, implement and contribute. ‘We can. I can.’ make a difference to the fight against cancer.
