Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Japanese PM Shinjo Aabe laid down the foundation stone of India's first high-speed Bullet Train in Ahmedabad today on 14th September 2017.
Ahmedabad to Mumbai Bullet Train is equipped with cutting edge technology from Japan for high-speed travel between two major destinations Ahmedabad and Mumbai in India.
1. According to the government of India, India's first ever Bullet Train project would be complete before 15th August 2022 on the occasion of 75th anniversary of freedom.
2. Every Year around Rs. 20000 Crore to be spent on the project in next 5 years with a total Rs. 1,10,000 Crore budget for the Bullet Train project.
3. Japan will fund Rs.88,000 Crore to India. This sum to return in 50 years of the period at an interest of 0.1% starting after 15 years of the launch.
4. The Bullet Train will cover 508 Km distance between Bandra-Kurla Complex Mumbai to Sabarmati Railway station in 2 Hrs 58 Min.
5. There are 12 Stations planned in the route for the Bullet Train:
a) Bandra Kurla
b) Thane
c) Virar
d) Boisar
e) Vaapi
f) Bilimore
g) Surat
h) Bharuch
i) Vadodara
j) Anand
k) Ahmedabad
l) Sabarmati
6. Maximum design speed of the Bullet Train to be 350 Km/Hr and Maximum Design Speed to Be 320 Km/Hr
