Brigadier BD Mishra retired from Indian Army: Biography, Early life, Achievements, Awards, and political career

Brigadier Dr. BD Mishra is retired from Indian Army on 31 July 1995 and now, he is the Governor of Arunachal Pradesh.

After an Illustrious career in the force, binging as a permanent regular infantry officer on 17 December 1968.

BD Mishra was born on 20 July 1939. he has done an MA from Allahabad University, a Mac from Madras University and Ph.D. from Jiwaji University (Gwalior).

As Previously, Dr. BD Mishra was the Commander of NSG (Black Cat Commandos) Counter Hijack Task Force that assaulted the hijacked aircraft of Indian Airlines and successfully executed the rescue operation, at Raja Sansi Airfield, Amritsar, on 24 April 1993.

All 124 travelers and crew members were rescued in the operation, after eliminating the hijackers, without any casualty or damage.

Dr. BD Mishra as the new governor of Arunachal Pradesh assumed Office on 30 September 2017.
