Biosphere Reserves are the biggest entity defined among National Park and Wild Life Sanctuary. The order of Restriction for the above three are:

  1. Biosphere Reserves
  2. Wild Life Sanctuaries
  3. National Park

India has a total of 18 Biosphere reserves. There are 441 animal sanctuaries in India. And 100+ National Parks in India.
