India’s IT Hub Bengaluru, becomes the first Indian city ever to get its own logo on 24th December 2017.
The logo was launched at the Namma Bengaluru Habba festival in Vidhana Soudha (the state Assembly) by Karnataka’s IT-BT and Tourism Minister, Priyank M. Kharge.
The logo has been selected from 1,350 other entries by the panel of experts The logo clearly manifests Bengaluru’s 480 years of existence, its revolutionary outlook, sophisticated culture and a sense of association with their inhabitants.
The curvy fonts of the logo were designed by bankers-turned-designers Rushi Patel and M Venkateswara Rao, founders of Nammur, a design firm.
The Logo is designed with red and black color that is partly written in English and partly in Kannada.
The letters “B”, “E” and “U” in the logo are highlighted in red to emphasize the tagline, “Be You” which exhibits the welcoming character of the city and is believed to encourage tourism.
