Supreme Court restricted financial transactions of BCCI

Supreme Court has stopped all financial transactions between BCCI and state cricket associations

It is also expected that an Auditor will be appointed for checking BCCI’s accounts.

Apart from these, a threshold value will be set for the various contracts of BCCI and excess of that value will be asked for approval by the committee.

For this issue, Supreme Court appointed Lodha committee to overhaul cricket and later on, committee suggested some recommendations relating to BCCI administration and governance structures from top levels to the bottom level.

The main aim taken by the Lodha Committee was to completely transform the power structure of BCCI

The majority of the state associations did not agree with the recommendations of the committee.

However, unwillingly these state associations agree the recommendations as of one sate one rule policy and the age limit was set of 70 years for administrators for 3 years of maximum 3 administrators with cooling off periods between the office bearers.
