Baby Rani Maurya is an Indian politician who is serving as the seventh and current governor of Uttarakhand. Baby Rani Maurya was born on 15 August 1956. Baby Rani Maurya holds a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) and Master of Arts (MA) degrees.
Baby Rani Maurya join the Bharatiya Janata Party in the early 1990s. She was the former and first woman mayor of Agra from 1995 to 2000.
Baby Rani Maurya became a member of the National Commission for Women In 2002, After this, the party contested in 2007 from the Etadampur assembly constituency, but BSP candidate Narayan Singh Suman defeated him with a close distance.
Currently Baby Rani Maurya is a member of the National Council and State Working Committee. Babirani Maurya is the gentle face of the party. Her loyalty towards the party got her a reward.
On 21 August 2018, Maurya was appointed as the seventh governor of Uttarakhand by the Indian government.
Baby Rani Maurya was awarded Samaj Ratna for social work in 1996 and 1997.
And Nari Ratna was awarded in 1998.
