Union Minister of Human Resource Development Prakash Javadekar launched the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan 2.0 program through video conferencing.
Prakash Javadekar on the occasion proclaimed that the students are the real agents of change who can develop, empower and brighten the future of the country.
Prakash Javadekar also informed that under the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan 2.0 scheme is in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision to transform India, in which students from colleges and universities will go to nearby villages to get familiar and conversant with the life of the village people and the problems faced by them in day to day life.
Unnat Bharat Abhiyan 2.0 scheme is a flagship program of the Ministry of Human Resources Development, with the intention to enrich Rural India.
Under the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan 2.0 scheme, the institutions have been selected in a 'Challenge Mode' and the scheme has been extended to 750 reputed Higher Educational Institutes (both public and private) of the country.
Under the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan 2.0 scheme, Institutes through their faculty and students, will carry out studies of living conditions in the adopted villages, assess the local problems and needs, work out the possibilities of uplifting the technological interventions and the need to improve the processes in implementation of various government schemes, prepare workable action plans for the selected villages. These knowledge inputs would make students into the development programs in rural areas.
