Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam was born on 15th October 1931 in Rameshwaram, Tamil Nadu and died on 27th July 2015 due to cardiac attack during the speech in IIT Shillong.
He also launched India’s first indigenous satellite Launch Vehicle (SLV-3) which was successfully launched at the Rohini satellite in the Earth Orbit in 1980.
He was also the author of many best-selling books like India 2020, Ignited Minds: Unleashing the power within India and Wings of Fire and was also the recipient of Padma Bhushan in 1981, Padma Vibhushan 1990 and highest civilian award in 1997.
