Ahmedabad becomes India's first World Heritage City by UNESCO

 

 

United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) honors Ahemdabad as India's first World Heritage City 

United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) dclares in a tweet that ‘just inscribed as UNESCO World Heritage site: Historic city of Ahmedabad #India’. Now India's 600 years old city Ahmedabad joins world map of World Heritage City maintained by UNESCO.

Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani and BJP President Amit Shah hailed the glorified moment of declaration of Ahmedabad city as World Heritage City by UNESCO.

CM Vijay Rupani pronounced in a tweet about Ahmedabad getting recognized as UNESCO World Heritage City, first of its kind in India.

Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) President Amit Shah tweeted that delighted to know that UNESCO has declared Ahemdabad as World Heritage City. Proud moment for every Indian.

Ahmedabad becomes first city from India joining World Heritage City list

Ahemdabad was in race for prestigious title of World Heritage City from India along with Delhi and Mumbai following it's historical monuments and sites of world history importance.

The walled city Ahmedabad wins the race following a history maintained from last 600 years after been formed by Ahmad Shah. The name of the city Ahmedabad named after it's first ruler Ahmad Shah.
