Nepal Prime Minister Pushp Kamal calls upon PM Narendra Modi regarding exchange of Indian currency notes in Nepal.
Nepalese have 500 and 1000 note in adequate amount as some are working in India as labour or visited India due to treatment, so Kamal requested Modi to give permission to Nepalese to change 500 and 1000 denomination notes in Nepal only.
In response PM Modi stated that he would talk to Finance Minister Arun Jaitley regarding this issue and would take decision as soon as possible.
NRB (Nepal Rashtra Bank) has decided to ban Rs.500 and Rs.1000 denomination note in Nepal as around 3.36 crore Indian currency of 500 and 1000 note is in Nepal.
