500 1000 note ban: Weekly limit of Rs 20000 increase to Rs 24000

 

 

Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on 13th November 2016 announced that the limit of Rs.20,000 per week is now increased to Rs 24000 per week

As per the rule of 500 and 1000 note ban, people were not allowed to withdraw Rs.20,000 per week.

But now Arun Jaitley declared the increase in the limit of Rs.20,000 to Rs.24,000.

The Government of India has also removed the restriction to withdraw Rs.10,000 per day.

Anyone can withdraw the required amount from the banks till Rs.24,000 anytime they want.

There is no restriction on the people for the withdrawal of the amount neither the banker can deny it.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi bans Rs.500 and Rs.1000 note denomination and new notes are issued of Rs.500 and Rs.2000.

People can deposit the amount they want at any limit but withdrawal amount is Rs 24000.
